Item An assessment of beneficiaries’ satisfaction on the benefits received from social security institutions: a case of local authorities pensions fund (LAPF) headquarters in Dodoma(The University of Dodoma, 2012) Swalehe, Mwapwani I.This study assessed the beneficiaries' satisfaction on benefits received from social security institutions: A case of Local Authorities Pensions Fund (LAPF) Headquarters in Dodoma. Three research objectives guided the study. First, to assess the level of satisfaction to beneficiaries‟ on the benefits offered by LAPF; secondly, to identify the causes of dissatisfaction to beneficiaries‟ in relation to the of benefits received from LAPF; and thirdly, to evaluate new ways, if any, introduced by LAPF in order to increase level of satisfaction to benefieries on the benefits received. The study applied qualitative and less quantitative approaches and cross survey research designs was employed. The number of sample was 40 respondents. The study used primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected through questionnaires, interviews and documentary reviews. Quantitative Data were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 16.0. The findings revealed that there are several factors of dissatisfaction to beneficiaries in relation to the benefits received from LAPF. These include; adequacy on the benefits, provision of the services to the member and beneficiaries, benefits processing and failure to give benefits to the some beneficiaries due to some reasons like loss of some important documents. The study recommends that LAPF organization should review their benefits regularly, employ the reliable system to calculate benefits on time and have member service desk for the member to share their view and claims on the benefits and service provision from LAPF.
